The house

A trade desk in Havelock North since 2021

SORTED PTY LIMITED is a wholesale and retail house at 7 Toop Street, Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, postal code 4130. The company opened in 2021 and still works from that address: sports kit, instruments, collectible books, hobby stock, and recreation inventory.

Shops that need a mixed pallet and collectors who want a single pressing come to the same desk. Rare books and vinyl leave with a provenance note. Instruments leave after a pre-sale setup. Sports gear is inspected before it is packed.

Fewer SKUs than a big-box aisle, more time on the piece in hand. Retail networks can raise a supply ticket. Collectors can ask for a rare title under order. Express cartons leave Hawke’s Bay for addresses in New Zealand and abroad.

What the desk will take on

Write which bay you need. We reply from Havelock North with what is on the floor and what must wait for the next intake.

  1. 01

    Sports goods and kit

Field, court, and training equipment from the Havelock North floor. A club order and a single replacement can leave on the same day.

  2. 02

    Instruments and sound

Guitars, bowed instruments, cases, and compact monitors come through the music bench. The buyer gets a short setup note with the carton.

  3. 03

    Collectible books and print

Clothbound editions, maps, and printed runs are logged by title and condition. The desk photograph stays with the sale.

  4. 04

    Hobby and craft stock

Model kits, tools, and field extras are sold complete when the maker ships them that way. Missing parts are flagged before taping.

  5. 05

    Retail network supply

Shops can raise a mixed ticket against sport, sound, print, or hobby. Backorders are noted in the same reply as the carton list.

  6. 06

    Rare goods and express lanes

If the piece is not on the shelf, we take an order against the next intake. Tracking starts when the Havelock North label is printed.

Provenance protocol

How a rare book or pressing is logged

A book or vinyl sleeve gets a four-step file before it is offered.

  1. LG-01

    Intake photograph

Title page and spine, or both vinyl labels and the sleeve corners, shot on the graphite desk.

  2. LG-02

    Edition marks

Printer’s key, colophon, or matrix number written into the file. If the mark is missing, the listing says so.

  3. LG-03

    Condition grade

Foxing, splits, warp, and seam wear noted in plain words, not auction shorthand.

  4. LG-04

    Hold for the buyer

The piece stays on the hold shelf until the reply window closes. The same photos go with the carton note.

Pre-sale stations

Two benches, one packing tape

Instruments are not mailed unopened. Kit is not taped on a glance. Work happens on two stations before a label is printed.

ST-A · MUSIC

Instrument bench

Strings are seated, intonation is checked, and pots or jacks are tested on the desk. The buyer gets a setup note. Weak latches are written down.

Guitar, violin case, and studio monitor on the music bench

ST-B · KIT

Kit and recreation bench

Stitching, buckles, and gates are checked by hand. Size marks are read against the order. A missing hobby part stops the carton.

Sports kit arranged on graphite shelves for inspection
